What is Energy Healing?

An Energy Healing Session is a gentle form of care that invokes the relaxation response to assist the body in tapping into it’s natural healing abilities. During a session, in sacred space, we will set an intention for the session. I will help you get into a very relaxed state of consciousness as I allow for the universal life energy to flow through me and into your field. The energy is guided by infinite wisdom.

Clients typically feel increased sense of calm, peace and love during and after the session. Brittany facilitates these sessions by combining techniques of Reiki, Healing Touch, Individual Healers & Channelers as well as her studies in nursing, A Course in Miracles and other spiritual material to bring through exactly what is needed. Energy will continue to flow for a few days after. Water holds memory and hydration will deepen this experience before, during and after.

Sessions usually last between 60 and 120 minutes total. Can be done via distance or in person.

What is Energy Healing?

There is more to our existence than just our physical bodies. We are all made up of mental, spiritual, emotional and physical components. Energy Healing is using loving heart centered touch (light on or off body) to clear, energize and balance the energy field & the chakras. Energy healing uses conscious intention aligned with love and hands to promote health, healing and wellness and facilitate mind, body & spirit self healing. Healing Touch is a form of energy healing accredited by the American Nurses Association (ANA). It was created by nurses and involves a 5 level curriculum plus a year long mentorship including doing 100 sessions, reading different books and other tasks to assist in refining and tuning one’s practice.

What Does an Energy Healing Session look like?

Energy Healing sessions lasts about 60 minutes. We will begin with a verbal conversation to check in and then proceed to the massage table for an energetic assessment. During the session you will leave all of your clothes on and lay on the table with a blanket or covering. In the session you will most likely go into a deep relaxed state. I will be using gentle hands on or hands off energetic techniques to facilitate the relaxation. You may have different sensory experiences such as feeling tingles, warmth or cold or how you may feel in vinyasa after a yoga session. Experience varies, I will be with you every step of the way! The most common reaction to every session is the client saying “I feel so relaxed.” By going evoking the relaxation response in the body( the parasympathetic response), we can enhance the immune response and place ourselves in the best position for feeling better.

All beings who are open and willing to receive will benefit from Energy Healing sessions. It is true what they say, all that you need is within you. A Healing Touch Session can help you to reconnect with your bodies natural healing abilities and become a more empowered, aligned and autonomous being. Light touch of the hands in an intentioned energetic manner is less scientifically understood, but is indisputable in terms of experience. Just like we can’t see microwaves or UV waves, that doesn’t mean that they aren’t there. Just like our skin gets burned from the sun, yet we didn’t physically see with our human eyes the rays that caused it. Our physical eyes can only see a small portion of the light spectrum.

What are the Benefits?

Energy (in it’s many forms) creates the physical. Working consciously in the energy field can allow for increase in wellness by invoking the relaxation response. The relaxation response is a well studied response to energy sessions. Current scientific studies on energy healing suggest that it may release endorphins, relax muscles, increase circulation, elevate oxygen, absorb nutrients, build enzymes, regulate hormones, release toxins and promote healthy cell growth & healing (Healing Touch Program Notebook, 2017). Energy healing has been studied to show improvement in pain management, improved outcomes and can also increase a person’s connection to themselves.
